Richard Lehman, Tax Attorney - The Internal Revenue Service ended the Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program on September 28, 2018. (The IRS Streamlined Filing Compliance Program will remain). This Offshore Voluntary Compliance Program was a separate IRS Program that waived certain serious penalties but asserted a much higher overall penalty than the Streamlined Procedure and it assured taxpayers that they would have a perfectly clean slate. This Program has now ended.
